There’s a wide variety of options in these spots, you just have to think like a criminal. The goal is for him to call the cops and have them fill out a report and never think about it again. Sadly one of the better resources for this is probably finding out how white people have harassed black people in that city for living in their neighborhoods and copying those tactics to the letter.
It’s important to get this guy constantly reported to the local police by every single person in the neighborhood you can rope into it. You want it to be extremely clear to the police that he’s the problem. The more annoyed with this guy the cops get the more you can get away with. Six to twelve months in he’s either going to have deescalated or the cops are going to be looking the other way when people (wearing masks for deniability) fling glass jars full of fermented human waste at this guys home/vehicles. The cops will just file a report and tell him that maybe he shouldn’t piss off literally all his neighbors.
This guy is flagging himself for PVP and isn’t going to be getting police protection anymore if he keeps harassing his neighbors for sport. Nobody likes dealing with unnecessary bullshit and this guy seems to love creating it.
My read is total act. It feels completely contrived to me and has the smell of a complete stiff just smashing the white grievance greatest hits buttons over and over because he knows it wins.
I think the Ted Cruz comparison supports my view. Cruz and Mandel are clearly terrible assholes. But Cruz isn’t your grassroots insurrectionist type IMO - he became one when the only way to power and relevance was to MAGA it up as much as possible.
A true believer wouldn’t do these dopey stand-ups at night in front of corn fields in front of Trump signs that “oh I just happened to pass on the road”. That shit’s 100% concocted in an lab of how to mash MAGA buttons.
Yeah my read is that Mandel is an act. Cruz is a good comparison. Vance’s problem is that he still fundamentally values intellect over power. He’s willing to cosplay as a MAGA guy, but he’s not willing to put everything into acting like a brain damaged cretin, to disparage his own intellectual accomplishment. He’s a Yale guy. On the right at the moment there is no compromise on scorning intellectualism, that’s the core value, you have to be all-in on that. Cruz is smart but he is willing to jettison that totally for power.
What does it matter if he’s trolling or not? It’s not like he’s going to govern reasonably in office if it’s all an act. His position in office depends on him being fucking insane.

So I was confused when I saw this attack ad saying he was bad on immigration and insufficiently supportive of Trump. I guess he meekly pushed back a bit against the big lie when he had no choice about certifying the 2020 election. The ad supports Blake Masters and shows him shaking hands with Trump.
