GOP Insanity Containment: Beets, Gazpacho, and Lube

If they can get Americans to slow down on the ranch dressing, truly anything is possible.

Just updating my catalogue of uniquely American weirdness, is ranch the one where it’s like ‘what if mayonnaise but with tons of added sugar?’

I’m sure it’s packed with sugar like all American processed food, but if I recall correctly the original point of ranch dressing was that it used buttermilk or sour cream to make it “tangy”.

Ranch dressing is tasty in small doses. Not a huge fan on salad, but nice for the occasional pizza dipping or with cheese fries. Just a little for added flavor.

You’re doing it right. The culinary benefit of ranch dressing, to the extent it has any, is that “good” ranch dressing should be slightly acidic from the dairy/lactic acid. Acidity and fatty foods are friends.

We tend to glorify the military, but at the top levels you get selection pressure for the same kind of self-serving corrupt assholes that climb up the corporate ladder.

The fact that this dude was the country’s “National Security Adviser” is mind-blowing.

It’s almost like it’s a shithole country!

I make my own ranch dressing. Mayo (so egg yolk, vegetable oil, and vinegar), sour cream (or plain yogurt), buttermilk, several spices including dried dill, garlic powder, salt and pepper. No added sugar. Calories are about 20% less than store bought.

An ounce at a time on salad hasn’t killed me or turned me into an antivax Trumper, yet. I’ll keep eating it just in case I suddenly feel a need to pwn the libs.

Finally coming to the logical conclusion

Florida’s ongoing response to the COVID-19 pandemic will continue to be a major focus during the 2022 Legislative Session for Sen. Manny Diaz , the top Republican shaping health care policy in the upper chamber.

His work could include revisiting existing vaccine requirements long in place in schools, a response to the debate about whether COVID-19 vaccines should also be required.

Diaz, who came down with COVID-19 last winter, said he wants to review the state’s vaccination efforts as well as Gov. Ron DeSantis’ work on getting monoclonal antibody treatments to those who test positive for COVID-19.

The Senator, who acknowledges he hasn’t gotten a COVID-19 vaccine, says he’s firmly against vaccine mandates. At the urging of the Governor, the Legislature earlier this year passed a bill that would prevent private businesses from requiring proof of vaccination from their customers. But the bill did not ban employers from requiring their employees to be vaccinated.

my first thought was why is joe manchin in a weird covid zoom?

The British have exactly this, they call it Salad Cream. Seriously, it’s thick as mayo htf you put that on lettuce?

Yeah that is really bothering me

I’m being forced to watch a Disney show my wife worked on and there was a girl named Kennedy on it, except spelled Kenady. That one is sticking with me.

This is the slippery slope created by spelling Ashli with an “I”.

We got her

The report, submitted to the FEC on Tuesday, details a series of four payments this year totaling $6,650 to John Pacheco, whose address is the same as Shooters Grill in Rifle, Colorado – the gun-themed restaurant that Boebert owns. The payments are described as rent and utilities that had been erroneously billed to campaign.

I’m sure this matter will be referred to the House ethics committee. She’s in big trouble now.

Has anyone considered writing her a sternly worded letter telling her that’s not allowed?

The new R House in 2023 will give her a medal.

She paid rent to herself? Or she owns the restaurant but not the building so she paid rent to the building owner on behalf of the restaurant?
