If you’re wondering why Posobiec chose now to chirp Ahnuld:

And he’s doubling down.

Man. When did Arnold learn about responsibility?
It’s baffling to me that My Pillow guy has a following. He’s a rambling nincompoop with virtually no charisma.
Live stream of his Cyber Symposium, which has not (yet!) provided the promised proof of 2020 election fraud:

Rich = smart. Why wouldn’t you listen to a smart guy? Especially if he’s ranting about nonsense that you know is true.
You don’t need charisma to have a following with the crazies; you just need to say the right things.
People who think Ron Desantis isn’t a threat in 2024 because he’s dull or he has two Ivy League degrees or whatever are misguided imo.
Plus he says all the right things. Not many people in the public eye are going all out in support if trump like he is.
They love him on pro Trump forums
He has been 100% loyal to Trump. He’s an ex con drug addict like some of the base like Tim Allen that made “good”.
There’s a powerful psychological urge that a lot of people feel when someone comes to them and says they have super secret inside knowledge that it being hidden from them by powerful elites. Rational people start asking for evidence, but many many many people feel a surge of belonging when they participate in this conspiracy theory stuff. They aren’t following Lindell because of his personal charisma, they are following this sensation that they are a part of a group. It’s a powerful psychological tool that is used by lots of people ranging from cult leaders to conspiracy theorists to marketing teams to crooked financial advisors.
There’s also just comfort in hearing someone else share your unpopular opinions. It makes you feel less alone. If you’re someone who has legitimately dug themself into the election lie, vaccines are a conspiracy, face masks are dangerous hole, you’re probably feeling pretty isolated from both your immediate relationships and also from society at large who largely refuse to entertain those concepts.
Edit: this is basically just what mosdef said
Um do we live in the same country? Like 30% of Americans believe that shit, definitely not isolated. In like half that country if you didn’t believe that shit you would be isolated
Seems weird that a guy who sells pillows for a living is bragging about being up all night. Off brand. Dude would get kicked off of The Apprentice by the third week imo
Dan Crenshaw got heckled for saying Trump absolutely did NOT win the 2020 election.
Why the change of heart?
He figured out the ceiling for 5’6" republicans is the house so he’s bouncing ideas because he has nothing to lose.
With pillows that good, he only needs to sleep one night every week or so.
I think the contrast vs. the pre-Facebook times is that it was harder then for fringe lunatics / conspiratards to meet enough fellow travelers to establish a critical mass like this. In the ancient times of, say, 2005, lots of people were equally suggestible about deplorable brainwashing but people mostly interacted with normies so they would be under constant social pressure to conform to the mainstream. Now people can (and do) spend 24/7 in curated internet spaces where their fringe beliefs are reinforced and normalized.
