Just because she’s a grifter, doesn’t mean that all the stuff she’s positing about her mom abusing her isn’t true.
Until she makes appearances with her mom, I’m inclined to believe it’s a grift of opportunity, rather than a pre-planned grift.

I’m currently watching the documentary “Mitt.” It is worth a watch. Absolutely jarring to see how quickly the GOP insanity took hold. The 2008 GOP primary bears no resemblance at all to current politics.

The Ds control redistricting in Illinois, so they have the power to get this guy out of office if they want, though not necessarily replace him with a D. It will be interesting whether they protect him or design his district to get him primaried. Or try to convert his turf to D, likely having to give another district to the Rs.
I have to think about it more but I think there is a real opportunity to recruit Republicans to switch. Republicans hate Mitt nationally but he would win in Utah as a communist. Murkowski caucusing with Democrats for some good old Alaska pork seems plausible.
Mitt seems to have too much true believer in him to flip. He’s one of those guys who thinks he’s the real Republican and Trump, et al are the RINOs.
I’m sure if one tried to bring him to reality with some sort of “You want it to be one way, but it’s the other way” talk, it would not take.

Only way to get Mitt is if he loses the primary and then you convince him to run as a third party - with Dem support. Even then it’s possible he still caucuses with Republicans if he wins.
Evan McMuffin has been grandstanding for years. I’ll take him seriously when he leaves the Republican Party, otherwise he’s just an offbrand Murkowski.
