The âChessmate, libsâ position is that the guy originally said âeradicate transgenderismâ not âeradicate transgender peopleâ so there has been a ton of âwell, actuallyâ bs swimming around about how he just wanted to suppress a certain ideology and that the crazy woke left is just twisting his words to think he actually meant getting rid of people. I think threads like the one Suzzer posted are sadly necessary to move the debate away from semantics and more concretely focus on the substance of the bills and what it would mean for trans people or anyone else who doesnât conform to what some people think a âreal manâ or a âreal womanâ is.

So to circle back to our discussion about that Jon Stewart clip. One of the reasons I liked it is because when something is presented as âX demolishes Yâ, itâs something like this video, where I think calling it âdemolishingâ is a real stretch.
In Stewartâs video, he really did destroy that dude. That was refreshing. Yes, I realize it was all for naught and wonât change anyoneâs mind. But actual demolition is just not something you see that often.
