Targeting nationalities and including Chinese green card holders (which it appears to) in the list of âentitiesâ banned from buying real estate (houses) is totally batshitâtheyâre the #2 green card holding population after Mexico. And the #2 H1B holding country after India.
Canada has exceptions from lawful permanent residents, and isnât targeted at particular nationalities.
My fiancé said the Chinese message boards are blowing up with rage over this.

Thatâs the sort of thing I say to people who want to push this right-wing talking point. They often shut up because they donât expect it and donât know how to respond.
