I mean supposedly most Latino folks think the term is fucking stupid and didnāt ask for it to be created, so this particular one is whatever. But I feel like this will be followed up with stuff like forbidding anyone from requesting certain pronouns, etc.

Personally I find it annoying that people are trying to find a label for me I will be ok with. I got all labels I need already, thanks. Otoh, this lady can fuck right off.

The core principle at the heart of conservative beliefs is that double standards arenāt just OK, theyāre actually good. This is present over and over and over again in every position they take, in every social and political structure that they support. Itās just who they are. You can never, ever, ever win an argument with a conservative by pointing out that their beliefs imply a double standard. They think thatās a good thing, not a bad thing.

Itās not meant to cater to Latinos, itās meant to cater to non-binary folks, so itās part of the right-wing anti-trans agenda.
Latinx is awkward and conjures up memories of 1990s branding. Latine seems so much better.

Yeah the original use of it makes more sense (and definitely prefer your pronounceable version). All of the criticism Iāve heard seems to come from after the term started getting used simply as āgeneric term for person of Latin originā, to which the response mostly seemed to be āknock it off, the Spanish language itself is gendered and nobody takes offense or feels excluded because of the vowel at the end of the word.ā

I lost power recently for about 20 hours - I realized after that I could have been cooking on my natural gas range. Instead I was heating Dinty Moore on my woodstove, LIKE A SAVAGE.
During our 4 day outage a couple of years ago I figured it out after a day or so. Only problem was lighting the burner but fortunately I found a zippo lying in a drawer.
It does kind of stink when the gas flows but before it lights. It doesnāt feel great inhaling that stuff. My stove is old and the knobs fall off and donāt really work except on one burner and the oven. Thatās all I realy need though. Someday maybe Iāll try to figure out why the others slip off.

I forgot to open the flue once on my gas fireplace. My head felt it pretty quickly. Not pleasant.
