This may have been posted elsewhere but this is quite horrible. Vintage GOP jumping on a xenophobic impulse veiled in a bad faith security concern.
Targeting nationalities and including Chinese green card holders (which it appears to) in the list of “entities” banned from buying real estate (houses) is totally batshit—they’re the #2 green card holding population after Mexico. And the #2 H1B holding country after India.
Canada has exceptions from lawful permanent residents, and isn’t targeted at particular nationalities.
My fiancé said the Chinese message boards are blowing up with rage over this.

That’s the sort of thing I say to people who want to push this right-wing talking point. They often shut up because they don’t expect it and don’t know how to respond.
