In that situation you just wait before tracks until the car ahead of you leaves enough room to go over tracks completely
Cops are always assholes to firefighters because cops hate that firefighters are revered for their bravery and sexiness and cops are broadly hated and more recently seen as cowards that stand outside a school shooting and let a bunch of kids die.

my grandpa was a firefighter and basically echoed the same. he told me once it was far better to be a firefighter because “everyone is happy to see a firefighter coming to rescue them, no one is happy to see a cop.”

I agree with the sentiment overall, but I also believe that the US is full of kids raised by deplorables to put on tactical gear and return fire when THE OPPRESSORS show up and TRAMPLE on their RIGHTS.

I hate how much people still love the police and want to use them for minor stuff.
In my very blue area, someone posted on Nextdoor about a mentally disabled teenager who rides around on a 4-wheeler. Apparently he operates with the mental capacity of a 6 year old or so. He’s scared of dogs and tried to kick some woman’s dog who got too close. Like half the people are telling her to immediately report him to the police. First, no way the police are going to help him and second, there is a huge chance it goes terribly when he’s unable to comprehend some stupid order they give.

I posted saying not to kill the police as they aren’t equipped to handle this type of situations and something could go wrong. The responses have all been anecdotes about seeing police handle a mentally ill person without incident so it’s fine to call the police on this kid.

He was beaten to death as part of an exercise to simulate a mob beating. Seems a pretty stupid training exercise and don’t see how something like that could be an accident.
