I wasn’t as disgusted with the cop that beat the guy to death so much as
a) his fellow cops basically throwing him a party for getting off from beating a guy to death (and he will), and
b) his fellow cops saying it could have been any one of them beating that guy to death like it was nbd

Local off duty cop gets in a wreck (going 114mph in a 45mph residential area) hits a car, splits the car in half, kills two people, and is released on his own recognizance.
He’s also recently shot a dog.

Two teens charged with murder. They get into a gun fight apparently. The cops, alert that there was a gun fight in the vicinity, shot up an unrelated car, and killed a child.
The legal basis for charging the two teens “is very simple,” First Assistant District Attorney Tanner Rouse said in a statement. “They were attempting to kill one another that night, and as a direct result a little girl is dead.”
‘As a direct result’ seems to be doing a lot of work here.
