I don’t understand why golf always starts at noon pst. They end up chasing the sun so often. If they started all events one hour earlier it would never be an issue.

I always assumed they were trying to maximize teevee ad revenue with the start times. Otherwise starting as early as possible seems most sensible to me.
I think it’s 1 they want to get into as much primetime for the east coast as possible and 2 for normal tournaments they have groups teeing off from like 7am-3pm so the sheer number of people forces the later groups to go later, at least on Thursday/Friday.
Being on EST I do love when they have the US Open in CA so we get night golf here.

Game was tight today 37/43 (72/128). Lolme at doubling both par 5s on the back when I was in the fairway off the tee. Every hole but like 2 has major elevation change at this course so normally I’m dragging by 15 but today felt great. Won lunch and a beer off my deplorable friend.
Hopefully this bodes well for my real money match tomorrow against my buddy at his club. I’ve negotiated a number of strokes from him since he plays there 3X a week but we’re kinda close on any given Sunday.
