I’ve been watching the featured groups on masters.com. I can hear the players and shot and some music occasionally and all that but no one calling the action. There’s no announcers until tv coverage, right?
That’s my specialty, love it when I see these guys make the same mistakes as me

Has anyone set up a home simulator yet? I’m in the process. I bought a SkyTrak launch monitor, one of the nicer mats available, and I’m in the process of starting to research impact screens, nets and projectors. I’m going to set it up in my garage, and hopefully play almost every day on it this winter. I got one of the mats with gel under the hitting area so that it behaves more like normal turf and is easier on your hands.
The SkyTrak doesn’t give you clubhead statistics, but you get the ball speed, ball path, launch angle, side spin and back spin, so you can deduce what your club head and club path were. It hooks up to TGC and you can play basically all the famous courses in the world.
Also if anyone else gets one, we can play rounds together I think :).

How does putting work?
You can do it, but it’s not going to be as good of a match for reality. You can also set it to automatically hole out inside a certain distance and auto two-putt within a certain distance.
I’ve been rewatching some old final rounds on Youtube. Was watching 1998 to see old ass Jack Nicklaus make a charge on the Back 9, and I’ve unearthed a couple hilarious things:
1: There’s a guy in a giant Steve Yzerman jersey standing right behind the 16th Tee Box
2: Holy shit does Freddy Couples blow it on 13. He hits his drive on the dirt service road like 40 yards left of Rae’s Creek. He makes a miraculous chop out to the fairway, then dunks his approach in the creek on his third shot.
David Duval makes birdie on 15 to go to -9. O’Meara and Couples are -6 while playing 14. He had to be -1500 or so to win at this point if they had live odds back then.
There is a thread in the 2p2 golf forum by ThinMan about his home simulator build, i remember it being pretty in depth. I would love to do it but don’t have a good spot for one, we need the garage to store cars in so we don’t have to constantly clean snow off of them and my basement ceilings are way too low. I’m tall and when I go to public places with sims I often hit the top of it with my driver so I need a really high ceiling, probably around 12 feet

I knew fading bryson would be a great bet. What an arrogant donk. I like his golf but man. You don’t get arrogant about this course and it’s really rearing its ugly head on him.
