Walked 9 this am. Was supposed to be with my Mom (Dad is injured) but their dog was sick. She paid by phone, so free golf!!! I get to babysit the mutt later while they’re out with friends, haha.
Played better than the score shows, was piping my drives, hitting decent irons too. Hit 2 tee shots on short doglegs with the 7w, they were good but a little right, lead to the 2 doubles, should’ve just cranked the hot Driver, oh well. Wedges were ok, missed a couple of elevated greens that led to issues. Putted like crap, 3 putt the first 2 holes
I enjoy golf a lot more when the long game is working, my short game is decent so I don’t mind when it’s off a bit. Putting is always hot or cold, was frigid today lol.

I’ve been playing kind of shitty towards the end of the year here but just posting to say fall golf is definitely my favorite time of year to play around here, even with the leaves and long shadows on the ground. For like the next two weeks it should still be fantastic. Then it gets quite depressing.

Snuck out of work early and got in some on course practice til it got dark. Played ok while trying some stuff. Highlight was holing out from 105yds in the rough on the toughest green to hold, slopes hard left to right and front to back. Lots of good shots end up on the back fringe. Pin was front left just past a greenside bunker to boot. Golf!!!

It’s 2020 so it’s likely to be delayed due to a hurricane, tiger will slip and destroy his back, day four will start the following Wednesday but will be delayed again after a difficult rule call on the 18th hole will take 5 days to sort out.
I may be frustrated right now.
That’s pretty funny about Webb. I was considering him as one of a couple guys I throw some dollars down on. He’s been playing well but lol at this. Looks like he’s +2800.
I’ve already blocked off Thursday/Friday to watch as they usually do a good job on the apps or online for coverage.
Feel like there’s just too many top guys playing too good for this to me a Joe Schmo Masters win.
Give me a jam packed leaderboard and a Bryson collapse at some point on Sunday and I’m a happy man.

It is kind of ridiculous how announcers still never talk about the prize pool. I’d like to know if a late putt is for $300k, even if the winner is decided.

On a scale of one Protein Shakes to 10 Protein Shakes, how dumb am I for fading Bryson this week?
I’m fading him too. Can’t stand him.
Yeah part of it is fading him because I don’t like him very much.
The other part of it is that he’s a massive Greens Book guy. Uses them to read almost every putt every week, and Augusta doesn’t allow them to be made or used.
I also think that at Augusta, there are a lot of spots where getting into wedge range isn’t necessarily beneficial. To so many of these elevated greens, being 60-100 yards out could leave a way more awkward pitch than just having a full wedge-9I into the green.
I like me some bryson but agree he is not very favored here. This is not really a driver/wedge favorable kind of course.
Plus they have added trees this year to directly combat the bombers.
