This past weekend I had a nice 4 putt double bogey on a par 4, I’ve also had a 4 putt bogey on a par 5 I reached in 2. Putting is dumb golf would be a lot more fun if we got a giant cup
Played 36 last Saturday and had something like 78 putts for the 2 rounds including quite a few 3 putt bogeys. It was a course with difficult greens and I’ve barely played this year so it wasn’t a complete shock but ruining decent ballstriking really puts a damper on the day
lol yea my low round this last year was an 84 with like 7 three putts, pisses me the fuck off, I was playing out of my mind. I used to be a decent putter, but lately not even close.
We called a 4 putt bogey on a par 5 a “zogey.” Our friend was a terrible putter that went by “Zog” and he would brag about being able to drive greens but couldn’t putt to save his life.
This happened to me on what was the last round I was able to play with my grandpa. Walking off the green he looked at me, shook his head, and was like “that’s just terrible” with a smile lol. Loved that guy.
This is particularly creepy and reminds me of how dictators speak.
“Now the United States and the U.K. are not favorable to this,” Mickelson said. “But everywhere outside in the world, LIV Golf is loved. And eventually they come around and they will be accepting of it.”
it’s a real shame to see phil go this way, he’s one of the most exciting players to watch and seems to have that brady-esque fountain of youth thing going on, he could have been one of the best PGA champions tour players of all time
seems like a slam dunk, especially considering we just had that case of the hooters waitress that won the toyota in a sales contest and the management tried to pull the “no we said TOY YODA” and they lost bigly.
Seems odd they say it was too late to get insurance. My only experience of this was playing a society day in UK and the guy running it had a big prize for a hole in one. We were all curious about the gamble he was taking and he said it wasn’t a biggy getting insurance, just took a couple of phone calls and fairly standard contracts exist for this sort of thing and his exposure was relatively minor.
I played in a charity tournament this year and the hole-in-one prize sign had a long disclaimer on it that included the requirement that the shot be made from a minimum of like, 140 yards. When we shot the pin with the range finder it was a few yards short, like 135 or somethjng. Would have been crazy to make the shot only to have some asshole come in with a measuring tape and tell you nope, no good.
