I’m…actually kind of worried for Phil Mickelson.
He could have just said “I’ve spent way too much money and it led me to consider the Saudi league, I now see that was really dumb and hope Jay Monahan and the PGA Tour will accept my apology.”
He could have made $20 million per year for life on endorsements alone. This is nuts. He might owe someone like $50 million or something.
Isn’t his reported $40 million in gambling loses only over a few years. Got to think he is way deep in the red especially if he couldn’t even pay his caddy.

On Friday Schauffele doubled the 3rd hole, was +3, and 8 shots off the cut line. Since then he’s 23 under thru 46 holes and tied for the lead. That’s so silly to comprehend.

It’s amazing the gap between these guys and normal golfers.
I felt pretty good about shooting -11 in a 4 man scramble. He’s basically been doing that pace over 50 holes of golf.
Ya they are playing a totally different game.
Just played golf for first time in a year. Played a best-ball scramble - but only had three players so the guy that’s single digit handicap got two shots. I’m shooting near 100 on my best days and third player was even worse than that. Other than puts, we played 3 of my drives (each time it was because I went first and hit it 220-240 so the good player took really risky lines/tried to really bomb it). I did manage to get a few wedges on the green, but with 2 shots, the good player was usually getting to 20 feet at most from pin. We ended up 5 under.
Makes me want to play more, but then realize how much work I need as when you have to play your duffs, it’s a much more frustrating game.
