Pecan pie is number one. Girlfriend baked one for T-Giving and crushed it!
I would very much like to know more about this.
I actually saw the recipe on a random “hey you might like this” Facebook post.
It’s pretty simple. Just make your cookie dough however you’d like (I won’t bother to include the actual recipe for that - use what’s on the back of the chocolate chip package or whatever).
The cheesecake filling was shockingly easy: mix together 4 oz of softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract. I stuck to that, since I’ve never made it before, but you could always adjust ratios or add other flavoring to mess with the sweetness and flavor.
Make 1 tsp balls of that and freeze them for about 30 minutes. That way they don’t melt in the oven too fast.
The instructions said to flatten 2 tbsp of the batter on a cookie sheet, then place a cheesecake ball on top. Cover that with another tbsp of the batter and crimp it so the filling doesn’t ooze out.
Bake 12-15 minutes at 350F.
It made very big, soft cookies.
If I make them again, I would increase the ratio of filling to cookie, as it was almost all cookie and a small bite of filling. The 2 tbsp bottom layer was too much. I’d probably decrease the bottom dough layer and increase the filling quantity, though that would require more total filling (so maybe I’d double that part of the recipe and just enjoy the leftovers if there’s too much?).
But regardless, it’s still a chocolate chip cookie with a little bit of cheesecake filling inside, so even though it wasn’t perfect, it was still tasty. I’ll probably try again and adjust the ratios.
The funny thing about the Facebook post is that it used an AI pic that looked nothing like the end result. It actually had a brownie layer (which would be awesome) and the filling was gooey (it’s not in real life).
Of course, now that I clicked on it, Facebook thinks I want to see recipes every 10 seconds. Admittedly, I have saved a few that sounded good. One was a casserole that I tried and it was actually really good. Horribly unhealthy, though.
I would eat these cookies before any pie as well. Omnomnom
Stuffed cookies are very in right now.
Every time I go to Toronto, I visit this cookie place, they are to die for.
My dumb ass would check whether the car is edible.
ETA: After checking the results, I have no idea what they are doing with the data, but I think apple won.
I’m fine with this. I had a slice of apple pie on Thanksgiving. Cold, no whipped cream. Simply delicious.
