You shouldn’t.
Fancy!
It is very time consuming to make.
This could be it’s own thread.
Shit Food At Thanksgiving - and Possible Replacements.
I’m not from the US but lived here for 10 yrs now. It took a couple of years but now my rellies here have accepted that roast potatoes are better than mash (I might get blasted for that - but come at me haters!).
My father-in-law ALWAYS makes these soggy overcooked yellow beans. wtf! Is that as compulsory as mash?!
Yeah, why not, I’m bored
Not if you have turkey gravy, or garlic mashed potatoes, or blue cheese mashed potatoes (last two if you fry a turkey and have no drippings for gravy).
That’s a lotta work to try and get mash closer to roasties. You know you can just add them things to roasties too…
PS: Homemade onion gravy GOAT.
There is such a wide range on both of these things. If done well, they’re both great.
Normally what happens is people are comparing a good version of one vs a bad version of the other.
You said roasted and my brain went to baked. Roasted potatoes are great with garlic and dill weed.
Mashed potatoes w/gravy and scoop some corn on each bite, though.
Homemade onion gravy GOAT.

Seltzer has pumpkin polling +4.
Well, it appears that the voters have officially bungled another tournament poll as they tend to do. I will console myself by looking forward to eating some tasty pumpkin pie on Thursday.
Thanks for running, Jim.
Had one of these bad boys today, so good. You could throw a couple packets of Splenda in there and take this thing down imo.
Apple pie, the all-American dessert, rolled through the bracket into the finals.
The contender, French Silk, took down some blue-bloods in pumpkin and blueberry on it’s way to the final.
- Apple
- French Silk
OK these are both great pies but this is still America, last time I checked.
I am not anti-Apple pie like some ITT but out of these two, I went French silk. I wanted blueberry to win it all. I’m happy pecan and pumpkin didn’t make the finals, those are both mediocre
