Side note, personality-wise he eerily reminds me of a former friend of mine I knew since kindergarten. My friend was annoying his whole life (always getting into Ikes-like arguments even as a kid), is now completely insufferable to be around, always full of drama and in a perpetual state of acting like a child throwing a tantrum. Had he lived up to his potential instead of becoming a drug addict, perhaps he would be owning the libs these days. Iâm not making an actual point, just rambling because I woke up way earlier than I intended to.

People way underestimate the plausibility of journalists / politicians / elites being bought off or compromised by bad actors. We know Saudi Arabia tried to compromise Jeff Bezos. Jerry Falwell Jr. almost 100% endorsed Trump in 2016 because he was being blackmailed.
GGâs behavior over the last few years is totally incomprehensible to me, and I donât see much reason to rule out theories like Trump just pays him.
Follow up: does Fox News not pay Glenn Greenwald for his regular appearances on white supremacy hour? Or is his burn on Chris Hayes that he makes more money from a less evil corporation? Sick dude, owned.
My understanding is that if youâre a âx News contributorâ youâre paid and if youâre not then you arenât. Glenn isnât introduced as such and has said heâs never gotten a dime from fox (and I think cnn and msnbc as well, back when he was allowed on)
You must miss the parts where he actively argues against other significant things being real.
Also if you are trying to make your bones attacking political corruption you have to at some point in four years acknowledge the reality of the sitting president and his family. I donât care how much he wants to write about things nobody else is writing about. (Which isnât even true, gg literally has hundreds of right wing trash media covering the exact same stuff he is covering.
I know those of you much further along the political spectrum to the left want to think GG is doing godâs work by targeting centrist democrats, but that is just not the reality of the situation, at least not the full picture. The Anarchy! zine in the 90s seemed to always have one pro-NAMBLA article, under the auspices of free speech absolutism/90s version of edgelord. My 22-year-old dumbass took that at face value. In retrospect itâs pretty obvious that whomever published that zine had a pro-NAMBLA axe to grind.
