Some of these are so ridiculous I think I tucked them away into a corner of my brain that I don’t access too often and being reminded of them I have to momentarily convince myself that yes, indeed, this did actually happen.
This is also called trauma.

Yes unfortunately I also have other ridiculous stuff from my childhood that gets crammed in there too. On the rare occasion I’ve shared stuff with friends I’ve received quite disbelieving looks. One friend commented that “I seem quite normal”. lol

I think a lot of it is just how flooded we were with these stories. Who the hell can keep track of something from three days ago, let alone three years ago? That’s on top of the fact that Trump just created his own insane curve by committing hundreds of these acts where just one would stick incessantly to any other POTUS.
Nobody ever says that to me

It has been mega jarring for me to watch these Trump clips after just a few days off. It’s absolutely a trauma response to normalize the incomprehensible to survive. He is even worse than we thought as it was happening.

There’s no question he beat us into submission. Early on, there were a lot of calls from people to “never let this be normalized,” but Trump made it so that the alternative was to constantly run around screaming like our hair was on fire. At a certain point you had to accept some level of resignation to the futility of fighting a lot of this stuff just to avoid losing your grip.

Yeah it’s just been a flood. A constant non-stop spewing of imbecilic hate filled drivel and just totally inane moments.
One of my favorites was just after Impeachment #1 began. Trump sent out Mick Mulvaney to announce that - by a thorough vetting process - the WH had decided the best place to host the summer G7 would be… Trump Doral in Florida.
Along the same lines, it was funny when Cuck Pence had an event in Ireland and he stayed at a Trump hotel that was 150 miles away. The corruption was so brazen, and 74 million lapped it up like pigs at a trough. On second thought, maybe it’s not that funny.

The mention of Pence reminds me of when he stopped on an apparent applause line, got absolutely nothing, showed a visible reaction to it, and then had to try to regain his footing.
