Somehow I’ve managed to vote correctly in every single one of these
Typical of someone in the Klobucharmy…
Good food knowledge is well within the gamut of her near omniscience
Had both. Kebabs are basically the same wherever you go. The same cannot be said for fried chicken.
kebabs in the US aren’t…I don’t know why, but no one here can get it right.
Never had one in the US
But the quality certainly isn’t. I don’t bother with high street kebabs because they’re so average and little more than an excuse for lots of hot chilli sauce.
But Ranoush Juice on the Edgware Road (the Middle Eastern part of London) do kebabs that are worlds apart from those (their freshly squeezed juice makes a perfect accompaniment).
Yeah I remember kebab being a thing in Australia but we just don’t really do it here in the US. I would still take fried chicken since it’s such an elite food but i do wish we had the option to get fast food kebab here. Closest thing I can recall are the falafel places in NYC like Mahmouds but I think those are an aberration that don’t exist much elsewhere in the states.
@Trolly there’s a separate category for “Chinese chicken” iirc
When I was in my early 20’s I did an overseas working holiday. Spent 10 months in Canada. When I got back to Australia I made my parents take me to my fave kebab place on the way back from the airport.
They had these really great kebab wraps that they didn’t toast. Meat/Lettuce/Tomato/Onion/Cheese finished with hot chilli sauce and sour cream. I have an affection for those kebabs that borders on inappropriate.

Brutal…also it looks like there is an error with the poll. Its showing as “Closed 10 days ago”. @LouisCyphre
Thank you. Fixed.
Processed meats in a circular tube can be given up easily.
So can frozen cow juice.
I have to stan for the Midwest and its food, even if it is just processed meat in an intestine.
I didn’t realise Scottish food had made it that far.
It has, also you misspelled “German.”
You’re never going to assimilate into central European culture with that attitude.
