Spicy nuggets are back at Wendy’s

Triple double crunchwrap is back at Taco Bell

It’s a good time to be alive.

I had the “Impossible Whopper” a few days ago and it was good. Suck it cows.

The new taco at BK wasn’t horrible. It’s bigger than the Taco Bell’s and had a bit of a kick to it. Disclaimer: I was starving at the time I had it

Had Arby’s for the first time in a thousand years. Was surprisingly really good, but made the amateur move of forgetting to request potato cakes and ended up with burnt as hell curly fries.

Also, 5 guys is overrated.

I haven’t had a whopper in a while but I tried impossible whopper and I was blown away because it tasted exactly like a regular whopper. I had to go back the next day because I thought maybe it was a mistake but fuck, that impossible whopper is truth

They were out when I went there.

I’m pissed.

“I’ve worked at Popeyes for seven years and I’ve never seen shit like this, it’s fucking crazy, oh my fucking god,” said one Popeyes employee on Thursday at one of the chain’s Brooklyn locations.

“We’ve been packed nonstop, it’s every day with these fucking sandwiches,” said another employee at the same location.

My experience with Impossible anything is that the garnishes/toppings make the difference.

Like the flavor of the Impossible Whopper tastes so similar to the original, mostly, because the patty gets “close enough” and everything else is constant. LTO, mayo, chz, bun - by the time you’re chewing, your brain is just going “confirmed Whopper”.

It starts to taste less like a burger patty once you remove the noise and eat it solo.

Still surprisingly meaty on its own (that’s the point), but the other fats, salt, acid, and textures can make it taste more like the original than it actually does.

Up to an hour wait for popeye’s chicken sandwich.

BREAKING: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/voraciously/wp/2019/08/28/everybody-panic-popeyes-has-run-out-of-the-sandwich/

We have seen an extraordinary demand for the new Popeyes Chicken Sandwich following our nationwide launch on August 12. It has been amazing to see our guests share their love for our brand and for the new Chicken Sandwich on social media and beyond, and we are truly humbled and grateful for their support. The demand for the new Chicken Sandwich in the first few weeks following launch far exceeded our very optimistic expectations. In fact, Popeyes aggressively forecast demand through the end of September and has already sold through that inventory. As a result, Popeyes restaurants across the country are expected to sell out of the Chicken Sandwich by the end of this week. We, along with our suppliers, are working tirelessly to bring the new sandwich back to guests as soon as possible.

They’ve made it smaller in the past few years.

I’m not happy about it.

My in-laws got to the Popeye’s sandwich before I did, although they regularly eat Popeyes and I have been there <5 times total in my life. I don’t eat or even crave fast food that much anymore but I gotta see what this sandwich is about.
