Fall LC thread

yea, I mean I disagree pretty hard with the spirit of the piece, but agree with a lot of what was written. We’re in the richest country ever, a lot of our problems aren’t really problems, they’re just the issues that you’d expect to arise if you spent decades funneling literally all the money to the top. I do think that if we could ever get the “muh taxes are too high” bunch to understand just how much money the wealthy have, they’d all become leftists.

The Punisher logo is a skull and is distinct, albeit similar to the Spartan helmet, afaik. They also represent distinct but similar toxic subcultures. The ven diagrams of the people who are into each are nearly overlapping, but I think the Punisher logo is like by a lot of military vets who think the Spartan helmet shit is for wannabes.

I didn’t know about the Punisher in this context, but apparently it’s a thing and you don’t even have to choose! #WhyNotBoth

This should go in the tilting commercials thread but we don’t have one so I’m dumping it here

Was looking to get a new PC to play some modern games on but even on Cyber monday everything with an actual graphics card is $700+. Probably too much to spend on something when I’m not sure how often I’d actually game on it.

Anyone know of a place better than NewEgg to check out deals? lol

Check out what you can build on ibuypower.com.

I hate it but I’ve never failed to find anything I can find on Newegg cheaper on Amazon.

The cheapest desktop with an SSD and a discrete graphics card is around $500 at Best Buy. I waited around for a few months waiting for a refurbished model with my desired specs and price range to hit Woot before buying one.

At least the last time I built a computer they had a tool in the sidebar that would spec out a computer to play what you want to play that also had a list of where to buy everything the cheapest.

Damn you definitely don’t need a $200+ graphics card but I’m having a hard time finding a pre built one that they don’t shove one of those things in there.

Here’s a few recent ones on slickdeals.

Don’t think the 19CYBER12 code works anymore but this one is listed for $680 (-20 is the regular code on this link)

Same. Just built a new PC and got everything from Amazon. Newegg has gone completely to shit in the past few years.

And having the Prime credit card makes them almost impossible to beat with 5% back on everything. That adds up to real $$$ when I buy tools and supplies for my business through them.

I have no clue wtf they were even going do here.

Burn calories (by taking the stairs) rather than using the elevator (which increases the electric bill, usually measured in kilowatts).
