Not much with the ladies, are ya Trebeck?
Watson would crush all of them, I don’t see what the big deal is.
RIght.
It’s just another form of mild racism for people to assume (from such a distance too) that all Chinese people have the same attitude towards the Chinese goverment. The vast majority of mainland Chinese people are very pro their government, unlike their HK counterparts who are much more divided. There is also a lot of tension at the university between native HK students and students from the mainland.
Obviously disabling end to end encryption would be catastrophic to privacy. I am tired of lazy law enforcement agencies seeking this short cut to do their job.
I admit I was mistaken on why they are not supportive. It was just a guess on my part being aware that there is no real support from the mainland. I appreciate you and the others setting me straight.
Agree. My initial thought, which is a pretty hot take given his level of dominance, is that Holzhauer is overvalued as the favorite. With two near-GOAT opponents, he won’t get enough answers correct to make his high-risk-high-reward strategy pay off. He’s super good at knowing things but my guess is that playing with an ideal selecting strategy and racking up ridiculous scores really skewed people’s opinion of him there.
Maybe.
I’d bet he has the fastest thumb tho.
I think betting bigly on daily doubles is just a dominant strategy no matter what your skill is or your opponents’ skill is. If you’re likely to know the answer then you should bet big to make more money. If you aren’t likely to know the answer you should still probably bet big because that probably means you suck and are going to need to get lucky to win. But James is likely to know the answer so he should wager big, even if he’s up against tough opponents. Probably even especially if he’s up against tough opponents.
The only “value” is winning 3 matches so I bet all 3 will be crazy aggressive with wagering on Daily Doubles.
Not only that, but Ken is ridiculously overvalued.
I’ve read that index finger is the way to go in terms of reaction time. I have no idea though. Never gotten a callback to test out their buzzers.
I tried index finger at my last audition, I think I lasted two clues before I switched back to thumb. Just wasn’t comfortable.
YES! So glad they are doing this. I guess they waited until James won his ToC before dedicating to this.
I thought it was funny when it sounded like it was saying that North Dakota was tackling the issue, but in conjunction with the pictures it seems like a clear attempt to destigmatize drug use, which is a good thing.
If Alex is planning on retiring anytime soon, I think this would be a good event to go out on.
Brad ships it per usual
Exactly. I could understand on waiting on this event if it wasn’t for Alex’s health. But this event needed to happen with Trebek hosting.
Brad seems really undervalued here.
