It’s a rough 1 for the US… I expected more from us here in the UK tbh and it is the UK 's area of diplomacy and they should intervene.
It’s a complicated situation. Many HK Chinese, especially younger people, want to be British in preference to being Chinese but can’t be, so are naturally fearful of mainland “justice” applying to them because they know what that potentially means - an end to the expression of dissent reminiscent of the USSR.
Diplomacy aside (which will probably be ignored) there’s very little other countries are able to do other than express outrage.
Ok guys, we can invest in a bunch of new stuff that may or may not make us profitable down the road OR hear me out - we can just take the money.
Let’s take a vote.

I legit thought Glenn Greenwald was an old white dude lol. I never watch cable news so I’ve never actually seen him before.
I new him from the Snowden documentary and though he was a stand up journalist and tbf he took a real chance there… I didn’t read his stuff on Russia and only crunched the derails here with keed and Co…
I think he’s a decent man who tries to do good and tbh he takes a lot more chances than other journalists of his time.
Would I buy him a beer, yeah sure I would have no problem with that.
Yeah him just living in Brazil shows some courage. I don’t know much about him but have a hard time reconciling him having integrity with his Russian interference takes. The evidence is clear.
This…
I suppose that’s why I’d buy him a beer, so he can explain why he refuted the Russia stuff, I stopped watching Jimmy Dore too after that shit, alough I should have stopped before that.
He has a strong anti-American worldview, one many of us share. He just takes it too far to the point that he thinks no matter the situation the side against America must be correct.
When Garrett went #1 the knock on him was that he doesn’t even like playing football. He’s like an all-time physical freak, Clowney-level.
Yeah him, Julius Peppers and Clowney are all the same sort of physical freaks. I’m convinced Peppers lasted so long in the league because he could be effective playing at like 80%-90% effort. Whereas other guys get injured because they have to constantly give 100% to even be competitive.
This is my favorite Peppers highlight, after he picks off the pass look at the guy chasing him, number 31. That’s a rookie RB who ran a 4.41 in the combine. Peppers is 34 years old. WTF.

The first time I saw this story some new judge drama had used it as a storyline.
Not sure I agree that judges should be beholden to ICE officers in their court room / courthouse.
