I remember that now. Yes I agree they certainly reflects the majority of ways actresses “consent” to nudity in film.

You have the thing where you can watch anything and not really be bothered by it. Most people don’t. Again, no one is censoring filmmakers. They are censoring themselves if they want to work. There’s a reason why studios will do just about anything to make a movie PG-13 instead of R. It drastically deflates their receipts going to an R. An X is exactly the same thing, except it creates a completely DOA situation.
Most of the cuts the MPAA wants are almost always related to a shot being 15 frames (2/3 of a second basically) longer than it should be, or someone inserting a shot of an actual body part doing something they know they aren’t allowed to show in an R. It’s not common for a movie to get an X for violence, but it does happen and shortening the shots is all it ever takes to get rid of the X.
As a part of the audience, I want to have an idea of what I’m going into. It used to be the MPAA didn’t even give you a reason for the rating. Now you’ll have a good idea of what to expect for every movie you walk into. That’s not a bad thing, and again, the filmmakers are censoring themselves. The ones who aren’t willing to censor themselves are funding everything themselves, and have very low distribution.
Oh, and as small aside, I recently worked on an R-rated movie. After watching it, I have absolutely no idea why it was rated R. It had PG-13 level violence, and I can’t even remember the f word being said once. It also had no sex. All of the violence was happening to cops, so maybe that was it, I have no idea.

I just told you I don’t watch everything, and you recommend a movie that will basically be highlighting things I have issues with…lol. I’m very aware of the history of movies related to this stuff.

I’m less bothered by sex in movies than I am by clovis constantly talking about it. Like dude, we get it. You’re an enlightened sexual woke bro. But the frequency comes across as just a wee bit creepy.
