Hook a brother up with a code! My wife is currently shopping for one. I think she saw one at Costco that she wants to try (no idea what brand).

omg

My neighbor passed away a couple weeks ago and I got a Facebook notification this morning that today is his birthday. I checked his wall and some people wished him a happy birthday, oblivious to what happened. Someone even wished him a “belated” happy birthday on his actual birthday.

What’s about the price of one after a really good code? May be interested.

And you can’t even eat a lot of samples unless they skinless sardine breast!

Guess I missed a spot to run an ad for weighted blankets.

Boredsocial… How do you think “thinking” works?

In order of short term effectiveness for me

  1. Alcohol
  2. Exercise
  3. Talking the ears off a friend
  4. Sleep (under heavy blankets, not officially weighted)

This weighted blanket talk is crazy. Wife bought a heavy duty down comforter for winter, not specially weighted or anything just had a shitload of stuffing and I couldn’t stand it. We took it off after a few weeks and went back to a lightweight one

Gimme a weighted blanket with a device that pumps cold air under it and we’ll talk.

And none of this self-cooling bullshit.

Brand keyword advertising, the presentation informed him, was eBay’s most successful advertising method. Somebody googles “eBay” and for a fee, Google places a link to eBay at the top of the search results. Lots of people, apparently, click on this paid link. So many people, according to the consultants, that the auction website earns at least $12.28 for every dollar it spends on brand keyword advertising – a hefty profit!

Holy Mother of God. People google “ebay”, then click on the paid link at the top - and ebay needs a freaking economist to tell them that’s not money well spent.

Fuck yea I’d buy one of those.

They make a bed that has a little mini air-conditioner attached. I’ve seen it on FB!

I just want the mini-air-conditioner and a heavy blanket attached in a way that keeps it evenly cool.

Someone needs to be out there disrupting that instead of spending all that startup capital on shitty boots and workout shorts.

While taking that screenshot I accidentally clicked on the ad. Now I’m fucked.

I hope you all appreciate the sacrifices I’m making to bring you this illuminating case study in the state of modern targeted marketing.

Japan is a very weird dude.

I don’t get that - if people are googling ebay then they are probably going to end up on ebay regardless of whether they get there via a promoted ad or from normal search results further down the page.

(I often google well known sites and go via the promoted ad(s) at the top of the search results - it’s quicker (mostly) and helps avoid typos that can send you to dodgy sites.)

Among them, some retail chains reportedly said glasses-wearing shop assistants gave a “cold impression”.

Opposite end of any temperature scale for me.
