They are ok… but ok boomer makes me extra joyful for narcissistic reasons. I’ve been beating the war drums against the fucking boomers for years.
I’m reading waaaaaaaay to much into this, but the thing I like about this meme is the implicit idea that really dumb Boomer shit isn’t worth engaging with at any level. I think the internet natives have a better sense of how to handle bad-faith trolling. Gen-X is going to try fact-checking and reasoning with MAGA chuds, Millenials are going to just be like “OK, Boomer.”

I remember in the very earliest Honeymoon days of the internet there was this optimistic vibe that it would be used to spread information and people would have civil discussions on it. If someone says up is down you should direct them to Snopes.com or send them the Veritt authentication codes and they’ll be set straight.
The kids who grew up online kind of grasp intuitively that there are a shitload of people who are just trolling or being edgelords and there’s no point in taking them seriously.

there’s insane anti-immigrant racist rhetoric in his discord. Here’s a nice screenshot I took
when E Jean Carroll came out with her tale, his tweet was that the timing was suspicious and it was clearly a ploy for the upcoming 2020 elections. He doesn’t believe there’s any merit to any sexual assault accusations.
I confronted him about this and got “well just don’t listen then, and how come you aren’t in every single other show’s discord doing the same thing? why single me out?” also “i know the guy talking about shooting them , he’s an internet friend and he’d never do that”
couple weeks later El Paso happened and he tweeted within hours that it was suspicious and probably a false flag
