You know what ain’t on that list? Cybertruck that’s what
Suvs have completely taken over the car market though. I drive a 6 year old coupe and I have no idea where/what I’d replace it with if I had to. Is there even an EV coupe being made?
I assume coupes and mid-side sedans will be outlawed by 2028.
No one really wants 2-door cars that try to hold 4 or more people. So, just very small cars like the Mini electric or some sports cars.
Yeah, my wife and I have a Toyota Prius C and a Honda Fit and love them both. Neither one made now.
They tend to have usernames ending in ‘…is’ or ‘…us’.
I’m on my second Honda CR-V and expect to get a third one eventually. I think of it as a hatchback sedan.
I got my first SUV about a decade ago and clearly wouldn’t have a need for one once both my kids are out of the house, but I’m so used to sitting up high that I don’t know if I can go back to a sedan. It would have to be a bigger sedan, as I’ve hated driving my wife’s small cars (Ford Focus, Hyundai Elantra) simply because I don’t fit well.
As my body becomes creakier, it’s also a lot easier getting in and out of a taller car.
That’s why I went with a CR-V over something like a Camry.
I must be easy to please or anchored in my teen years when cars were a lot more expensive, less reliable and less convenient, but I think basically everything on the market today is great. MPG is so much better than in the past, backup cameras are so convenient, cars are more quiet, have better radios, heating and air conditioning is way more reliable, they last longer and need less repairs, they’re bigger (like the modern Corolla / Elantra is the size of a 90s Camry / Accord). I never got into SUVs or crossovers but my wife has an X3 so I have it available for longer trips. Basically, every rental car I’ve gotten in the last 15 years has had me thinking, “I’d be fine driving this daily”.
Public transit > EV Sedans > EV trucks/SUVs > sedans > dick enhancers.
Unfortunately in usa#1 we own more of the worst. F the cagers man
You either climb up into a full sized SUV or fall down into and climb out of a sedan…or you can slide right into and out of a CR-V. We have one and other cars to choose from and for normal driving everyone gravitates to the CR-V. We don’t have it here anymore because my daughter took a car to college this year and we wanted her to have it because it’s the easiest car to drive.
My brother, who is very into sporty very fast cars, still tries to get his hands on the CR-V.
And I’m not saying it’s better than a RAV4 or Lexus RX or whatever, but it’s just the most comfortable and convenient size and shape.
You left out 2 wheel vehicles.
Everyone electric scootering around would be pretty darn efficient.
Back we my day we peddled and used our god given human power.
yeah I would absolutely be interested in an electric miata or like a honda S2000. elmo said he was going to bring back the tesla roasdster IIRC (I’m guessing he said “next year” five years ago?)
Segways for all!
BRING BACK THE CRX, HONDA YOU COWARDS
Legit would be driving one of those little Honda CR-Z guys if Honda still made them.
Too small for much range I’m afraid.
