Edit: I’m not getting the Isaacson reference. It says that he had a past kid via surrogate. Also given the history of multiples it looks like there might have been some thing like that going on, but I don’t know if that’s enough to say this one was IVF. Did I miss something?

Three women had long term relationships with him, so trusted him. This last one, idk maybe she believed promises or she wants a better deal now, who knows.
Edit: Isaacson iirc says Elon and his first wife had twins and triplets using IVF. Also the neuralink lady had twins via IVF. This latest person we don’t know if IVF or not. Just seems like his MO.

How dumb do you have to be to do that and have no agreement in place? Or one that is so bad that you need to change your mind in a few months.

Maybe, maybe not. Most of his previous kids have been conceived via IVF. Some of those situations seemed like surrogacy, in which case I’d think you’d have the deal basically worked out (although even then Elon might just be the type to back out of the deal and go no contact after the kid was born), but in other cases where he had a preexisting romantic relationship with the woman (like the kids he had with his ex-wife), they might not have worked anything out about the kids b/c they just assumed they would deal with the kids just the way you’d deal with any children that arose during the course of a relationship.
ETA: Also, I don’t remember many specifics, but my few brain cells that still remember surrogacy law from law school recall that the rules about contracts dealing with unborn children are kinda funky.
Lol listening to the latest Chapo and they mentioned this. Elon has 13 kids and I can’t find the exact number but I count like 4 girls, and as best as I can tell all of the IVF ones are boys. Maybe. I don’t want to go have to sort though that stuff
I guess, but by 2024 you have to have a pretty good idea of how a relationship with Elon is going to end and how lasting it might be. Not working it out before you subjecting yourself to all IVF involves seems completely nuts. Especially if their relationship was not established enough for anyone to have really known about it until a few days ago.
Sure, but getting entangled with Elon at all in 2024/25 is already displaying questionable judgment.

Well, if you’re endgame is to have his child and cash in, I think that is perfectly rational (sad, but rational). But that’s all the more reason to have prenegotiated everything.
I suppose if he is just reneging that would make the most sense to me.
This is why you need an opposition party to be explaining this stuff. From the outside it seems like an OK idea, why not have the smart space people come in and take a look?
But you need someone to go, wait why would someone who built a rocket know anything about coordinating thousands of planes anyways? NASA isn’t doing the FAA’s job. Why are the planes crashing in the first place? It’s not like this is just something that happens. Ugh. Instead we get ‘Democrats keep your powder dry until something comes along.’
