Elon Musk: The Reichest Man Alive

Seems like there would be a very limited pool of potential players who he could have paid to build his character. I’d imagine that is going to come out at some point.

This is true, especially in the English-speaking world. However, the evidence is that Elon’s character was playing on a Hong Kong server with items listed for sale in Chinese.

This video has 1M views in 2 hours. That’s more reach than almost all the Elon shit we discuss in this thread.

Y’all are just jealous that Elon’s such a polyglot that he plays games in all different languages just for the extra practice.

Yeah, so good he plays a hardcore character on a non-landline connection on a server halfway around the world. He sees the code like the matrix.

People don’t need to watch this, but this is a bog standard daily POE “highlights” video (there are about 3 POE daily highlights makers) that shows some hardcore RIPs (you can tell they’re playing on hardcore when the death notice just says “resurect” instead of “resurrect at checkpoint”). If you watch this for a few minutes you get a sense of how insane it is to make it to 97 on HC. I have over 2000 hours in POE (mainly POE1) and have a 92 softcore character in POE2. I am “good” at POE and have about 200 deaths.

is HC in POE much harder? HC in D2/3/4 wasn’t really that hard tbh.

It’s super hard, but POE1 has developed over 10 years where the real experts know basically everything that can kill you, all the boss mechanics, and the proper playstyle and defense.

POE2 is a new game with some different mechanics, about 50 new bosses, and it is still being highly tuned. There are tons of things in POE2 that will just straight kill you, some of which are bugs or obscured ground effects. There are HC POE streamers who are currently not playing POE2 in HC because of the random 1 shots. The second big patch came out today, adn it fixes a number of bugs, but to reach number 12 on the HC ladder is beyond the skill of 95% of pro PEO players playing every waking moment with more than 5k hours of experience.

Very often between leagues there are HC “races”, where the first 3 players of each ascendency to kill all the bosses get like $1-5k. The first to kill each boss or complete certain difficult things also get cash rewards from money mainly donated by players. A lot of players watch these “god gamers” compete, because it’s not accessible to “normal” POE players. And people know who the winners are, because there is a small pool of players who can compete. For Elon to step into this new game and be at the top of the ladder is like some unknown chess player with no history beating a bunch of grandmasters. Everyone would know it’s AI and he’s playing with a buttplug telling him which moves to make. Elon doesn’t understand this, because he doesn’t know the game, and he keeps doubling down.

When D4 came out a group of POE regulars played together, got the world first kills, and then went back to playing POE.

Elon might have bumped off a shark or two today.

This is fine.

SpaceX called it, not joking, a “rapid unscheduled disassembly”.

Standard. I don’t think SpaceX was first to use that phrase. My memory might be bad but I seem to recall people saying that about Challenger. It might go back even further.

Elon tweeted their “entertainment guaranteed” catchphrase over a picture of the debris coming down. In a few days he’ll be crying about potential delays. But the FAA has completely surrendered. He has nothing to worry about.

rud is the typical parlance. We go agane.

spacex has been infected with DEI obv

No, Elon has already concluded there’s nothing to see here. Simple fix. Flight 8 next month.

i wouldnt, but i probably would if i was supposedly a super l33t genius “billionaire”

Elon is obviously a moron but thinking he could convince anyone he is a top .0000001% gamer just seems stupid to a degree that’s out of his league.

Kind of makes me think he knows what he’s doing and it’s all intentional. (Most likely as some sort of inside joke with some Twitter Nazi he’s befriended.)

you can bullshit a lot of people, a lot of the time, but you can’t really bullshit gamers about games, for whatever reason. probably why we still get good games, somehow, despite the entire industry trying to downsize and enshitify everything.

The “damning” (lol, nothing matters) thing here for Elon is he’s chosen to bullshit about games that literally require you to quit your job to be “good” at, and then probably a lot of other sacrifices - he’s supposedly running several “top” companies. It does not add up, either he’s a total incompetent idiot that is somehow spending thousands of impossible hours playing video games he doesn’t seem to know about on his X stream, or, he’s running his companies “well” and paying people to play these games for him. It’s not really in dispute by anyone serious that he’s making it up, and it doesn’t make him look as cool as he thinks it does, but he’s always been an out of touch moron. His Stans even try to vouch for him like, “well you just wish you were rich enough to pay someone to level d4 or poe for you”, but like, I actually don’t. I think Ive said it elsewhere maybe even in response to posts here but no one brags about this shit because serious gamers don’t take at least d4 seriously, because it’s just a big time sink and nothing else, and would be immediately exposed. They also, IMO, aren’t very fun games to play at the highest level.
