Ok, Empire.
I’m still amazed that
“Lie, all the time, shamelessly and forever” seems to be an effective life strategy.
I’m over here putting caveats on my caveats on my caveats.
I’m not even sure what the point of this particular lie is. Unless the Starlinks actually went to Russia or something.
I’m a little confused about what the lie is? It seems like the 19k schools thing was a Bolsonaro campaign promise that didn’t happen when Bolsonaro lost. But Starlink did launch in Brazil and presumably is used in lots of remote places, since that’s what it’s for.

I wish I cared $24b worth about anything as much as he cares about dunking on libs. You have to give him credit he is paying for the privilege!
When you have many billions, you can incinerate many billions and still be a billionaire. It is absolutely worth it to him to have an echo chamber of yes men, the marginal money is literally worthless to him.
Elon also promised. My understanding is he was going to provide free Starlink terminals for the Brazilian schools. The need didn’t go away when Bolsonaro lost. Elon got at least some of what he wanted then didn’t deliver. With Elon’s extensive history of saying he’s going to do things he then doesn’t do or altering the deal à la Darth Vader, I think it’s fair to call these things lies.
If I had 250 billion dollars four years ago I would have thought to buy Twitter.
Nothing to see here. Just the richest man in the world posting propoganda and attempting to interfere in our elections through subterfuge.
It’s going to get so, so much worse.
So Starlink folded pretty quickly on that one
His posts are beyond parody
3rd Amendment still safe, I guess.
Political fantasy time but I’d love the dems to not so subtlety say something like “if this shit doesn’t stop, immediately, you better hope we don’t win because we’re coming after you”. But that’d probably give him an erection.
