Yes, that is indeed Brian Maryott, standing on a corner by the freeway entrance ramp in Vista, CA. On a Saturday morning in October.
He was creepily pointing at cars and waving as they passed by.
Not pictured: the two paid guys standing on the opposite corner looking bored holding signs. I don’t want to assume, but if I was a betting woman, I’d bet they were undocumented.

I bet money on Polymarket today on Warnock winning the runoff, it was at 70c Warnock but I bet anyway, I think it’s higher than that. Also bet that the margin will be greater than 2.5% at evens.
Basically:
- GOP lost runoffs last time
- No incentive for GOP voters to show up since Senate is lost anyway, plenty of incentive for Dem voters annoyed about Manchin/Sinema to try to extend the Senate margin
- Kemp not on the ballot means GOP vote should fall off
- Warnock is broadly liked
- Walker is a lunatic and may well get sabotaged by the GOP
I think Walker doesn’t merely lose but gets destroyed, anticipate like a 5% margin.

Prior to 2020, GA Dems abysmally under performed in every runoff relative to the general

The runoff is now 4 weeks from the general rather than 8 weeks (last time). With GA’s new election laws, it makes it nearly impossible to vote by mail and there is a whopping one week of early voting.

It is not possible to register to vote for this election unless you were already registered prior to general (again, different from last time)
You’re gonna have to ELI5 this one to me. I forget the details, but didn’t Roberts mostly move to overturn Roe. If that’s the case, it would have been 5-4 and Roe is essentially gone.
