Had to pause working on this after Neon Genesis Evangelion OST got restocked and I have to put something in there from this seminal work.
Should be in this weekend.

I clicked on this and went, oh yeah this old tune… Then I sat down and listened to it and YAAASSSS.
That’s probably my favorite Thievery Corp track. I love that they also have their own nightclub and record label that all embrace a downtempo loungey electronic global pan-everything mindset, and it’s all a single, cohesive vibe.

Another “DNB on the bike” vid of this guy’s came up on YT when I was hanging out with the GF this past weekend. He was at Brighton Beach, and the hordes of bikers, roller skaters/bladers, and scooter riders swarming with him was pretty awesome and fun!
Watched for a good while just enjoying the scenery and the groove!

Just wrapped this book up a couple days ago. Good read–I enjoyed the stories and I feel much more knowledgeable about dance music now. Thanks for the recommendation!
Part 2 of Joris Voorn’s “Acid Techno” mix vids came up on my YT feed tonight and as I’m watching it I’m noticing and understanding some of the technical stuff he’s doing a lot better. He actually throws in some scratching and rewinds in spots. Good stuff.
