Not directly related to Elon, but might be of tangential interest - I listened to Season 2 of the podcast Bad Bets which is all about the rise and fall of Trevor Milton who founded Nikola, the electric/hydrogen truck company built mostly on fraud.
Won’t somebody think of the pension funds.

Haven’t read the article, but they were definitely trying to juice 2022 numbers by offering some great year end deals. The optimistic take is that with the new tax credits in 2023 everyone was just waiting for the new year to buy.
