I am sure tech startup CEO’s like his attempt to go back to the insane work life balance those startups used to have. They are in for the same surprise as Musk in that most experienced staff realises the paydays associated with being lucky and joining the right startup are mostly over now that money is drying up. Trying it in an established business where no payday is expected like Twitter is insane.

Wonder when he wrote that. Not that this weakens his point, but Tesla’s peak market cap was about 3.5x that. Its current market cap is 473 billion, so it still has lots of room to fall :)
Read some of those articles. It is mostly coming from CEOs that hate diversity. It is not like company boards pushed diversity on tech companies because of the political climate. It is because diverse and inclusive companies have shown to be more successfull. Part of that is because there are just not enough qualified white men to do all the tech jobs anymore and you are not going to get that amazing female candidate to join your team of all white men when she has plenty of better options.
