This was discussed before, and I know the scale of each site isn’t comparable, but Truth seems like a reasonable Twitter knockoff, how did they do it and how hard would it be for someone else to do the same thing but bigger?

It is. Mastodon threatened to sue them if they didn’t acknowledge it per their license, so they put up the required notice and a link to their source code.

That page 404’s now though.
