This gives me future Republican government vibes tbf. Telling the public service we’re gonna be more hardcore in using death squads, killing women etc etc and there won’t be a payrise or anything. So yeah stay on?

Yeah but on the other hand they are personally responsible for toilet cost overruns. Got it coming if you ask me.

he’s the exact type of technical illiterate to not understand that code quantity != quality or productivity and the “worthless” infra team he probably just let go on this idiotic metric solved problems that may take a week and result in only 2-3 lines of code.

This is the greatest day of my life

How is this guy the literal worst manager to ever exist?

I gotta say, if Twitter doesn’t implode it’s going to make me very mad. I feel like my life will become significantly worse if this behavior is normalized.

At its heart, Twitter is a software and servers company

Uh… no.

After years of creating a twitter feed I like I got kyle rittenhouse fucking put in my timeline twice for utter nonsense reasons (it was outdoor sports the second time of all things). Shit is breaking.

Come on, this is real. Tesla glasses that don’t even stand up on their own.

The really hilarious part is Elon stans are arguing with the NYT Pitchbot.

He did manage to not break Tesla and SpaceX even if he doesn’t bear much responsibility for their success.

I think it’s likely that what we’re seeing here is one or a combination of the below things

1.) Him being still pissed he was forced to close the deal (narcissistic brain works differently than yours or mine here)
2.) Him being pissed that he is being relentlessly mocked on Twitter (narcissistic brain works differently than yours or mine here)
3.) Him actually feeling pressure about the debt service and trying desperately to cost cut his way to a minor profit
4.) Him really wanting to turn Twitter into right wing media but feeling a purge is necessary so it can be filled with ideologically aligned people
5.) Some sort of mental breakdown (e.g. some type of manic behavior triggered by a real untreated psychological issue exacerbated by drug use / lack of sleep / stress / etc.)

I’ll take 1 and 5 w a bit of 3 bc even billionaires feel poor apparently.

You mean the companies getting flooded by firehoses of free government money that still never made a profit? The guy lost money at laundering carbon credits. Money created out of nothing by the US government and given to him by the truckload and he still lost billions.

it is multiple billions in the black, somehow. i dont think it’s all regulatory credits, either.

I have doubts whether this will continue - their margins on teslas are pretty gross, and that’s gonna shrink with rising cost of materials and increasing competition from big players. not bullish, but I think tesla has been a success, somehow, even if i believe they’re shitty cars
