He’s the whale who mashes aggro buttons and runs hot for a week to get to the final two or three tables of the Main Event, then punts it all off in glorious fashion. Except he probably ran hot enough to have more than he can ever punt off. Then again, he supposedly risked it all a couple times to get it, so who knows if he’s smart enough to stop?
I would think that at some point he’d get bored of getting shit on 24/7, get some-semi rational people to run Twitter, and move on to something else.
They had like a billion in annual revenue. Twitter can‘t afford to cut that in half.
If you look at this from the lens of “Elon doesn’t like getting dunked on in the replies”, then everything starts to make sense. He wants to relegate all that to a greyed-out tab, which will of course ruin Twitter if he pulls it off. But he’s fine with that.

At what point does Musk’s behavior have a measurable impact on Tesla sales? Politics aside, I would not feel comfortable shelling out big money for any product backed by Musk.
