It’s possible, but it usually takes fraud, malicious intent, etc. Rich people buying things and then breaking them won’t count, that’s just every day capitalism.

I think you could have pitched it to get most blue check marks. They could open verification up a lot more, but charge for it and throw in some features once verified to sweeten the pot. Even some revenue sharing to lessen the per month for blue check marks.
I mean they could have done anything really as long as they didn’t mess with the linchpin of Twitter, that you can identify people you trust to be who they say they are.
