Nah, Democratic Gen-Xers and Boomers are going to keep believing in the system until they die. I think the Muller She Wrote grift is still going strong.

The legal argument is that even though she dismissed the charges against Trump, (a) that dismissal is being appealed and, more importantly to her decision (b) there are kinda sorta still some pending charges against other folks who participated in the document crimes. So, as the judge in those cases, she’s saying that she can block the release of the report because the info in the report could prejudice a jury and hurt the ability of those other defendants to get fair trials.

[Obv, a lot of this is just Calvinball, but that’s the argument she’s using]

Surely the anti-ā€œglobalistā€ crowd will be very disturbed over Trump talking about borders as artificial barriers that should be removed.

Also, this is hilarious given how much the right is currently up in arms over Indian immigrants. You know what Canada has besides hockey?

It’s poutine, right? Hocky and poutine?

Riverman is right though. Hell, half of this forum has checked out (I know I’m one of them) and we in the top 0.001 of those that follow politics.

Go tell a relative that doesn’t follow politics and ask them about Canada being State #51 or where the Gulf of America is and see what they say. Don’t even mention Trump.

Yeah but that is following politics like a sports league.

There are a lot of people who are heavily involved in their communities all around the world. It’s different than cheering from the sidelines

I’ve said this many times since the election but the time to fight this nonsense has long passed now. Nothing left to do but sit back and enjoy the show and hope that somehow we are wrong and things actually dont end up that bad.

Simply put there are no levers of power at the national level left that our side can access until at least 2027. At the local level sure there are still things that can be done. Focus on that and just laugh at the absurdities of things like the Gulf of America.

I can see Canada starting to join the EU in the next 2 years.

I support the annexation of Canada. I felt we missed an opportunity during the revolutionary war.
