I read the first five pages of this. The submission was not messing around with criticizing Cannon. It said she is making a fundamental legal error with the jury instruction sheās contemplating and needs to issue a ruling so it can be appealed asap. I found it informative for how to strongly criticize a judge while still staying on the appropriate side of a submission to the court.

Probably because it is highly unlikely she would be removed from the case.
Asking to have a judge removed is extremely risky. If you donāt pull it off you have a judge who hates your guts for the remainder of the proceeding.
Yeah, he has plenty of outs, including that. I didnāt list them all. I think we all know them more or less.

Well, in this case the judge is openly rigging proceedings for the defendant. I guess there is an argument for letting her hang herself even more, since this case is literally never going to trial until after the election and only matters if he loses.

In this case there may be less to lose. I guess Iām just saying in general to ask a judge to recuse themselves or to request removal you better be sure that it will actually happen because itās going to permanently destroy that working relationship. If itās a judge you have to go in front of semi-regularly you may not just be worried about this one case.
For example my home federal district has only two bankruptcy judges. Under no circumstances would i ever request removal of one of them. It would be career suicide.
