This is just the nature of the internet now. The model of “fandom” through social media channels has become ubiquitous to politics and culture. Members of r/law aren’t “discussing law”, they’re “stanning” for the legal system in the same way that people “stan” for TV show stars or other celebrities.

Let’s hope so. And most of the money is co-opted into Trump and Trump adjacent coffers and not actually spent effectively on trump.
Gonna be hilarious when house races run out of money in September.
