I think so too. It shows people this is just entertainment disguised as politics, not a “real” trial.

My point was that comments similar to this, or comments meant to bring levity to the courtroom, are likely part of most “real” trials. (Someone in that world can tell me if I’m completely off base with that). So the comments here are no different, just magnified.
I agree it doesn’t help, but those who are going to use a comment like that as proof that the judge is biased, that it’s a witch hunt, entertainment, etc., already believe that and would just use something else as the ‘proof’ if the comment hadn’t been made.

Fair point that these kind of comments are both routine and to some degree unavoidable. I guess more a comment on the impact and that in certain cases, we should at least set the intention to moderate ourselves in an exceptional situation.
The bad guys are going to find something else or take something out of context and use it the same way.
I’m not calling for a purity test on the judge, just that if ever there was a case where these kinds of comments may need to be chambered…
I also think it’s fine and if I were the judge, I’d have a little fun on the way to an almost guaranteed verdict.

The judge could be biased in Trump’s favor and he’d still bitch about the witch hunt and how the judge hates him, let the guy crack some jokes.

Weissman is insufferable
I agree to some extent. Like he’s constantly apologizing to his podcast co-host for interrupting and repeating anecdotes and stuff, when he could maybe just not do that. And he’s generally too sweet summer child and a true believer in process and the system and so on. But I think he’s a good guy so I give him a pass on that stuff.

did she get neck extensions because I saw the courtroom sketch of her and was like wow thats messed up the sketch artist made her look like a giraffe and then i saw a real picture and think they did it justice
