Blocking works much better after the software upgrade too. You used to see hidden replies and if they were the last one to reply to a thread you’d get an annoying notification you couldn’t get rid of without viewing their post, but now the people you blocked are completely vaporized. It makes the forum much, much more readable.

This is good to know. I never used ignore because of the reasons you mention. Being able to make it so someone basically doesn’t exist for me is a much more interesting and useful action.

You still see the stupid translation of his names to squares… It isn’t perfect.
I’m still seeing Hidden Reply in the inline thread. Wish there was a way to get rid of that.
The best way to get rid of that is to unblock him. Blocking people is stupid.

. I swear it went away for a while but maybe I just didn’t see it for whatever reason. I don’t think you get the notifications on threads where they’re the last poster or I just haven’t run into that case yet.
