Do you like Concerts? What are your experiences?

At least there’s plenty of empty seats to move up to.

Butnahhhh

That ticket is $700 right now

Yes, my buddy got them from some company called Vivent back in November and told me he has been contacted by them four different times since with various offers to buy them back for higher and higher prices

Field seats were two grand :open_mouth:

Hozier is touring this summer, highly recommend seeing him live. I didn’t even like Take Me To Church, my wife wanted to see him at Boston Calling back in 2015, and I was thinking I’d go to the can during his set. Dude totally knocked my dick in the dirt, incredible how quickly he made me 180. We try to see him every time he tours.

As an aside, the Boston Calling Fall 2015 was ridiculous:

The sixth Boston Calling, held September 25, 26 and 27, 2015 featured:

The Avett Brothers, Alt-J, Alabama Shakes, Hozier, Of Monsters and Men, Chvrches, Ben Howard, Chromeo, Walk the Moon, Nate Ruess, Father John Misty, Sturgill Simpson, MisterWives

That one is new to me.

at least you’re not in the sun at RayJay.

fuck that ticket cost though.

There’s a Marvelous 3 song called Radio Tokyo that has an answering machine message from Nikki Sixx at the end. It goes:

“Fuck! Your fucking band is bad-ass. Call me! Fuck! I’m blown away, man. That second song knocked my dick in the dirt. Bye.”

20 year old me thought that was hilarious, I still do, and I use the phrase when I talk about music I like.

I like it. I think I’m going try to work it into a conversation sometime just to see what happens.

Could be a typo.

But “lip singing?”

I think we need to nip this in the butt.

This is either high level humor, an Australianism, or hopefully also a typo.

I honestly have no idea.

Just scored tickets to Aerosmith. Going in MN in November with son #1.

Part of the old bucket list (see them before they die)

Tour starts Labor Day weekend. Put it at 50/50 that Steven makes it to November wo breaking a hip.

Saw them on the Nine Lives tour. They were great.

How many lives are they up to now?

I trend to the older stuff- I enjoy the late 80s/90s stuff but give me pretty much all of Toys in the Attic please.

Wildest concert pricing I’ve ever seen

Nas & Wu Tang

Total ticket price: $25
Optional parking pass (for the arena in downtown DC that literally has a metro station underneath it, can be easily accessed by Uber, and is surrounded by other parking garages): $100

Like, who is the target audience for this? Someone who will go to see Nas and the Wu but is so scared of walking in downtown DC that they won’t park in a garage 2 blocks away in order to save $80-$90?

Saw the Temptations last night. Otis Williams at 81 still has it. Amazing.

Caught him last weekend - outstanding. I like his new album, too. He’s still touring the US.
