When I was a kid these people spread the idea that we were having “rainbow parties” and used slap bracelets in class to claim which girls we wanted to have sex with.
Had not heard of this. This is like an organized crime investigation where they spend a long time investigating, put together lists of places to hit and finally hit a bunch of places in the same day? IE, they let children sit in captivity while they’re doing all this? I would think each and every lead about an abducted child is an emergency that needs to be acted on immediately.

They decided to sweep all the strip clubs and found 17 year olds?
They found a bunch of kids in the basement of a pizza joint all at once?
These were known custody disputes that were awaiting some court rulings?
These were federal cops? Were all the people involved here undocumented immigrants? Like aunts and uncles and cousins arrested for abducting the children they were caring for who came here unaccompanied?
And for my most conspiratorial thought: Is there any chance this is entirely made up?
The one example I have so far is a 17 year old girl who had run away from foster care and she was so thrilled to be “rescued” that she had to be in handcuffs.
As you’ve pretty much concluded, the amount of missing kids in any system that are not serial runaways is pretty much zero.

Kids were recovered or found over a two week period all over the state. Most were taken by parents in a custodial dispute some runaway. Some lost. Some trafficked. Obviously it’s great that kids were found, but the bullshit fake news is so absurdly frustrating.

I gave it two minutes of thought and came to this conclusion.
QAnon is what happens when people who watch simple CBS police procedurals want to move beyond those easy case solves where you need a 5 year old brain and an 80 IQ to solve. Sometimes it’s because they stopped watching TV. Sometimes it’s because the procedural block is in reruns but with no real timetable for return like now.
