Democratic Primary Debates

Running for potus is hardly turning your back on power. Maybe as a hedge fund guy he got all the money, but feels cheated out of having tons of people to boss around.

I mean heā€™s at least better than Pete, Amy, and Joe!

The fact heā€™s a billionaire has nothing to do with my liking him. Heā€™s calling out Republicans with a vengeance, heā€™s pro-reparations, and he actually brings something new and good to the table every time he talks unlike UBIAndy, 2 Cent Liz, and the rest of them.

Maybe heā€™s our Caesar. Definitely wanted power but basically made a ton of money and used corruption etc to actually fix the republic and help the people.

Didnā€™t turn out too well though lol. But part of that could be blamed on the senates incompetence.

Pete says a bunch of transparent bullshit and his record up to an including present day is gaslighting blacks into thinking they favor him over people theyā€™ve said they prefer.

Not the same ballpark. Steyer has been doing good legitimate stuff for longer than Peteā€™s been stateside.

Yeah, after he was a billionaire.

They all spend money for PR. He is just taking it to another level.

Again he could sincerely believe all the things he is saying but money and power was a bigger priority than practicing what he preached.

Seneca would probably be a pretty good comparison.

Hereā€™s how I look at it: Steyer accumulated a lot of power by perhaps doing some ethically questionable things. Now heā€™s using that power for good.

How is this any different than what we all want Democrats to do? Win a huge majority (whatever it fucking takes short of you know actually harmful stuff) and then pass ALL THE BILLZ to improve the lives of the 99% (especially the bottom half, and especially especially the bottom quintile).

What ethically questionable stuff has he done?

Idk just referring to Vict0arā€™s post

Thats a terrible way to look at it.

He has owned coal mines and private prisons.

I like Steyer and tend to lean towards he is sincere. I just want to make it clear that even if he does a lot of good Iā€™m not going to forget the bad.

Itā€™s not optimal. Idealism usually ends up losing tho.

as long as he didnā€™t participate in IPOs or take controlling interests I have no problem with investing in shady industries. All it does is make the share price higher for other investors, company was going to make profits and do the same business either way

Itā€™s Game Day in Nevada! Other than the media declaring Klobs the winner of the debate tonight for saying Trump over 100 times, what else will we see tonight?
