I checked PredictIt and Abrams is only 0.08 to be the VP? Sheâs willing to jump in front of this Tara Reade allegation from out of nowhere like Clint Eastwood in that Secret Service movie, surely that kind of raw opportunism wonât go unrewarded.
The guy whoâs no longer running? Jill Stein? Like, show your work here.
We could try breaking the DNC right now. Force the crisis when we have the opportunity. Letâs throw Joe âcreepy handsâ Biden under all the buses we can find. Monkeywrench the whole god damn party and see if maybe we can build something from the ashes. Because if we canât do that I honestly donât see any point in even trying.
Some of you seriously think the best path forward is to keep on keepinâ on with Uncle Gropey? Really? Itâs not even May yet. The election is still more than 6 months away. The convention, if it even happens, isnât until mid-August.
For fuckâs sake, could we at least maybe TRY to fight for something, just once?
Iâm assuming theyâll pick the VP nominee the same way they ended up with biden, spend months waffling then just go with what they think is the safest bet. Get ready for HRC as the VP
Already posted it above. I guess the concept forcing the party to consider a new nominee 3-1/2 months before the nomination is just some wildly unthinkable crazy talk.
Iâm going back to ignoring this thread before I get even more pissed off.
If they try to replace Biden, it will probably be via his VP pick. I assume the plan would be to COAST TO VICTORY on the wave of ORANGE MAN BAD, let Joe fun around for a couple of months and then, regrettably, due to health issues etc.
But even that seems unlikely to me, on the simple grounds that it ascribes too much strategic coherence to the Dems. Itâs really just a loosely-coordinated group of button-mashing careerists. But even they have to be aware that itâs not likely Biden can complete a full term, even if he manages to limp over the line in November. So the VP pick is still likely to be someone more credible as an actual President than, uh, some previous picks.
tl;dr they wonât sub in Cuomo but he may get tapped for VP.
