The reason trump resonates is firstly racism obviously but also because he says things that are sort of true but from a weird slanted perspective. Of course the mainstream media is fake news. Itās just fake in the service of entrenched power and capital rather than Mexicans or whatever the hell trump thinks.

This thesis puts Democracy Now, OAAN, Fox and the NYT in the same category. Itās the same weird extreme lumping that has you arguing Biden and Trump are political equivalents.
Calling all media fake is so dangerous and frankly feeds directly into the rights main objectives. It also has literally zero upside.
The fourth estate is fundamental to a functioning democracy. To entirely write it off is absolutely nihilism. Especially given its objectively incorrect.

To interpret the claim that the media isnāt perfectly trustworthy as entailing a claim that itās perfectly dishonest is whatās lacking nuance. To say that the media is in thrall to certain interests isnāt to suggest they do literally nothing but lie or distort or omit, only that itās foolish to assume they never do.
Do you believe Tara Read? Do you think her claims have received coverage commensurate with that given to Christine Blasey Fordās? Assuming that you do and donāt respectively, how do you account for that?
