I guess that’s arguable if it happened before November 2016, where we all learned that strategic electioneering could backfire in a big way.
But there’s also enough other and better uses of that money (as well as the Warren money) that she really doesn’t deserve the benefit of the doubt at all. Like buy homes for some of the homeless people you walk by every day you monster.

Yeah, it’s this. It’s from 2018. Arpaio had been held in criminal contempt of court. She was trying to get him as the opponent for Kyrsten Sinema, who ended up picking up the seat for the Dems in a close race which took 6 days to call. I’m not crazy about this sort of strategic voting in a post-Trump world, but given that Arpaio came third in the Republican primary, maybe she was correct that he had become toxic.

Warren should issue an apology for comparing the Sunrise Movement and a nurses union to one rich person with 15 million for warren and an extra 5k for joe fucking arpaio.
Her dishonesty with the superpacs led to biden skating free on his own superpacs at the last debate.
